The situation was different before the march. The government was under pressure then, the tide has turned now. The government is on top now. If I were Nawaz sharif I’d guard the red zone and do not grant even a single demand of the protestors. Tire the protestors by keeping a low profile and let the protesters have a field day. In a few days they’d be on their knees. Any stand down now (from the maximalist stand)would have detrimental effect on the political parties protesting. This is a win win situation for PMLN. If Pti returns empty handed how would the leadership face their workers? And if they succeed in bringing the government down they’ll become political martyrs in the next elections. Staying a few days out in the field would calm Imran khan down as well, it’s not an easy thing to carry out dharnas. Like I mentioned previously Imran khan’s impatience has damaged him immensely.
Instead of carrying out this march he should have performed in kpk, organised his party in the country and presented the case of the people in the assemblies and created pressure on the government to facilitate the public.
People are not satisfied with governments performance but still they want to give them a chance. PMLN provides an excuse that they couldn’t perform as they were not allowed a full term on the federal level. With current performance they wouldn’t have anything to show after 5 years which could provide an opening to IK.

After this long march I see PMLN coming out stronger. The challenge they have had in Punjab during the past three years might fizzle out which could make PMLN more arrogant (they already have dictatorial tendencies). We should expect a long tenure of the incumbent regime.
The government, as we speak, is absolutely dreading any movement from the crowd. And this is when the real game will begin. Qadri has given 48 hrs deadline, whereas PTI has issued 72 hrs. I wouldn’t write the march off yet and draw extreme conclusions. Imran has yet to reveal all his cards and present his strategies in a proper structured manner. I reckon, he’s next step will be to make a move towards the Red Zone.
Instead of PTI’s youth, it’s actually Qadri’s mature crowd that looks more dangerous.
Say whatever, but it’s still hard for me to believe Imran will put everything on the line to go back empty handed. People like Hashmi would not be supporting him if there was any chance that this March will be a failure.

What the hell was Moby Luqman doing on the stage with PTI? Asking the crowd to chant Go Nawas Go, thank God someone snatched the mic off him. But seriously, I’m getting sick by seeing the gross and disgusting political imbalance in the media. It’s so in your face that its unbelievable. You can have disguised political leanings, but everything now seems like all out war and blatant campaigning and propaganda, and illiterate and ignorant awaam is falling for it. I don’t know who else can be so stupid and shameless to glorify personal battles and propaganda as journalism and factual reporting.
I don’t care about how anti Nawas League Moby Luqman is. He as a ‘journalist’, reporter, anchor, analyst or whatever he is, is simply so unprofessional at every level. ARY must do something about him.
