Re: little girls and makeup- when is it too much
Frankly I'd be more concerned about the clothes they waer and the fashions than just makeup. You'll see some parents allow certain things but not other things (like I got my ears pierced but definitely no tight/revealing stuff)..

How important is it to parents to have their daughters dress "properly"... i think this is one of the hardest things about having girls...they wanna follow fashion but some things even some liberal paernts wudn't allow... Or at what age do you make them "cover up". i dunno how lil girls dress these days but i've heard fo thongs for 8 year olds..yikes!
