Back in the late 80s, I was working with Pakistan Telegram. I got a service telegram by one of the US, Telegram Companies telling me that they could not deliver such such telegram and that they had sent it by post but at the same time he/she cautioned me with the code "UXRIB" which meant "the mail service is poor". I was really surprised to read that.

You can send and get a letter from the UK and Pakistan within five-six days. But you have to wait for at least 20-25 days to get a letter from the USA.

Canadian post system is better than the USA.

I lived in the UK for about two years but I hardly see any courier outlets over there. The postal system is superb over there.

But I think major courier companies are USA based which reflects the performance of their post system.

The largest village in Pakistan used to be Faisalabad. Glad to know, Lahore has overtaken it, :D
