I’m sorry if I’m being critical, but the people whose loved ones died in that blast are the one’s who really need the uplifting don’t you think. If we put ourselves in their shoes, our problems would seem extremely small. Death is inevitable, it will come when it has to and the way Allah has chosen it for you and all of us.
Yes, it’s all utterly saddening, but please don’t become desensitized cuz that would be the real loss and even more sad. I remember a brit newscaster saying on the Marriott Blast, that ‘the people of Pakistan who are now used to such blasts’… I couldn’t digest that. We should never get used to this… ever…that’s the least we can do. (off topic I know)

Pro: You are alone and free.
Con: You really are alone and free. Sad dumbass.

2. Sharing the home
   Pro: You get to come home to a woman who cares for you and will deal with the loneliness issue
   Con: You get to come home to a woman who will never shut up and won’t let you get some peace and quiet

3. Sharing the bathroom
   Pro: You share the shower
   Con: She doesn’t close the door for shaving and other womanly stuff.

4. Sharing the bed
   Pro: You really need to be an idiot not to see this
   Con: None that I can even imagine

5. Independence
   Pro: Doesn’t matter if you are giving it up because life is better this way
   Con: You are whipped biatch!

6. Guys night out
   Pro: You get to hang out with the guys
   Con: You gotta ask your wife for permission, you can no longer go to that seedy bar with that hooker/barkeep and you have to be home by 10 smelling of air freshener so she doesn’t know you have been drinking. Considering all the prison standard rules here, its not worth even having a guys night out.

7. Female friends
   Pro: Seriously other than not being beaten by the Mrs because you have some, there is no other pro I can think off.
   Con: You speak to a female friend expect to get the third degree. Interrogation Bagram base style!

8. Beautiful Women
   Pro: None. Because they don’t exist, at least that is what you keep repeating to yourself when you walk around with your wife
   Con: Window shopping. You can look but you can’t touch.

9. Sex
   Pro: You get it finally in a halal manner
   Con: It doesn’t last very long, the Mrs all of a sudden becomes too tired or has a headache. And then you can’t even look at women esp beautiful women. Might as well become a monk.

10. Children
    Pro: They are your kids
    Con: No cons…unless they aren’t your kids. Then you got issues

11. The In-laws
    Pro: You don’t have to see her family very often
    Con: She always wants to meet your family and then complain about your mom

12. Cooking
    Pro: She learns to cook from you mom
    Con: She still can’t worth jack and you have to cook for everybody

13. Social Gatherings
    Pro: No longer need to worry about getting a date or finding the right lady on your arm. You already have the best for you.
    Con: Does this make my butt look big? Is my eye shadow okay? Shot gun to the face is better than those questions!

14. Social Gatherings
    Pro: You have an active social life
    Con: You miss the entire Cricket world cup, the Asian games and the Olympics because of this active social life

15. Gossip
    Pro: You know who is a ho and who isn’t.
    Con: You turn into a gossip.

16. Lying
    Pro: None
    Con: Everything.

17. Truth
    Pro: If she likes the statement you said the truth is good
    Con: If she doesn’t like what you say, the dog house for you. Generally it is best to lie to spare her feelings as long as she does not find out.

Note to self: Her butt is never big even if you do like big butts and consider the statement a compliment

18. Breakfast in bed
    Pro: None you never get it
    Con: You have to make it for her since you did something stupid

19. Doing something stupid
    Pro: The older you get the stupid ideas stop coming
    Con: But they are still there and doing something stupid now entails a lot more danger than before, which makes it even more exciting. Will I get caught by the Mrs? Is the number one question behind all stupid activities

20. Future
    Pro: You have a stable life and someone to spend it with
    Con: She cheats on you, grabs all your money, the kid isn’t even knows and the guppans on Life 1 still blame you for all of it

Wasn’t the purpose of religion to standardise everything for everyone? What’s right for me should be right for you, what’s wrong for me should be wrong for you too IF you’re of the same religion as me?

Why should the standards, the limits be different for each person? What’s the purpose of religion then? I’m not saying it is NOT ok for people to think differently that I do. I’m just saying religion actually makes everything much much easier for us. What’s excusable, what’s not excusable, what’s right, what’s wrong, what’s acceptable, what isn’t acceptable is all laid out for us clearly.
