**Ok. so my friend wanted to see this painting (on page 1 of this thread). I just took it over to show it to him and he thinks that the 2 big Birch Trees in the front should not have been there. He thinks that the painting is good but would’ve looked excellent without the 2 Birch Trees. I however, think that the painting would’ve looked kinda empty(in the front) without the 2 Birch Trees. **

Well…I say that because I stopped after the Evergreen trees and the painting did kinda look empty in the front. Then I added the 2 Birch trees in the front. What do you think? Would the painting look better without the 2 Birch Trees or does it look more “balanced” with the 2 Birch trees in the front. **

i think ure friend was qiute right ..firstly we do not balance anything in a painting by making 2 .. 3 or 4..

secondly if 1 side is heavy .. for example if there’s a tree at one side .. there can be anything or nothing .. but being balanced by the paint only .. that is what is captured in arts .

another thing birch tree is a big tree .. meaning it has got lot to paint in it .. it is not simple (like a coconut -tree ) meaning {which does not have much to paint }
so it should be shown at such an angle that that it does not cover other parts .. but adds to beauty .. anything should be shown like that ..
yeah the flooring is done very well ..

another thing .. if you wanted to show 2 trees .. you could have by putting them at the background and flooring at the front ..

anyways very well done for the first try .. keep doing you will learn alot with time insAllah ..

JUST AN UPDATE:

I just added a little snow on top of those branches of Birch trees to make them stand out. What do u guys think? Did I kill it?
