Life of Imam Ruhollah Khomeini

Re: Life of Imam Ruhollah Khomeini

I think this man accomplished a great feat in overthrowing the Shah of Iran and loosening the grip of Western imperialism on Iran.

He was a bit extreme for my tastes, he certainly should have known better before issuing that stupid fatwa against Rushdie, which made Rushdie a household name and popular for being a mediocre writer.

His legacy is still to be reckoned with worldwide. It's interesting how Nelson Mandela showed great appreciation towards him, especially when he died, because it was his government who was against apartheid South Africa when America and Israel were supporting it.
