Re: …Lets discuss shopping…

Insan, I went to galleria yesterday. I had heard so much about it that it’s the rich people’s place and expensive and bla bla bla, but I found it okay and normal. I was expecting security guards standing at the doors checking income statements of people before letting them in  Going there was simple, took westheimer but coming back, I was lost for a while and I had to get directions to get back home

Re: …Lets discuss shopping…

I think all guys shop the same way Shikky does, and so do I.

I know what I need and from where I can get it. I go in, if I like it I’ll buy it. I always try on the pants and shoes. Since I have a difficult size (being so skinny) :bummer: So I have a hard time finding the right size pants. Mostly they are too large around the waist, so then I also have to get them fixed :grumpy:
but shirts I mostly don’t try on If it doesn’t fit then I go back and return or get a different size

Re: …Lets discuss shopping…

Pants, my size is always the same. 34 x 30  But only Tommy Hilfiger jeans are big even in 34 size. Shirts, I usually wear large size but this month large was too large for me and I had to go back and get a medium size as I didn’t try it on :konfused: Am I shrinking? :bummer:

Re: …Lets discuss shopping…

i am going to jc penny to buy eid gift

Re: ...Lets discuss shopping...

It's fun going shopping in Georgetown in the wintertime! They have all these pretty lights up down the streets and it's so lively, but there's a cozy feeling, too (as opposed to Times Square). Most of the shops in Georgetown are ridiculously expensive, but it's probably the best place for windowshopping in the winter.

Don't you agree, Angel Eyes? :)

Re: …Lets discuss shopping…

Re: ...Lets discuss shopping...

i shoppat forever21 for dirt cheap trendy tops, bloomingdales when i feel like pampering myself, H&M for the most awesome winter clothes, rampage, bebe, 42nd street bazaar, jackson heights, macy's for shoes and bags. afaze for accessories.

whats the point of telling everyone this anyways?

oh i buy my shampoos/soaps/hair products etc at duane reade....i should apply for their club card.

Re: ...Lets discuss shopping...

i hate gap/old navy and BR

Re: …Lets discuss shopping…

So we know if you are one of those people or not?

Just kidding. I asked this for info to see where most people shop because some people are crazy for brand names. They would spend so much money just because it’s a brand name. Although I buy at gap, aeropostale, macy’s, mervyns, etc., I don’t go there just because of the name. They have nice stuff. If walmart has something I like, I’ll buy it. If Burlington Coat Factory has something I like, I’ll buy it.

Most of my clothes are bought by my fiance. She likes to do shopping for me and I let her shop for me.

Re: …Lets discuss shopping…

same here… wal mart always surprises me when i go there with my mom and discover such cute stuff for sooooo sooo cheap…
but its not ALWAYS a good experience…i bought some stuff from there that didnt last even one was and shrunk to half my size…:
i bought isaac mizrahi pointy toe shoes from target a year ago and a buncha cardigans and EVERYONE thinks its really expensive designer stuff lolz…

Re: …Lets discuss shopping…

I don’t buy clothes from walmart anymore, I used to buy them back in 90’s when we came to US and that’s because I was a fob and didn’t know any other places to shop around and mamma did my shopping :roman: Recently, I bought some boots from wal mart and I like them :smooth:

Re: …Lets discuss shopping…

I hated and loved shopping in high school…in high school i looked at the stuff at express but cud never try em on :bummer: and instead i had to go to lane bryant :bummer: :bummer: … but now i shop at Expresssss and i never have to go to LB again :dixsi:

Re: …Lets discuss shopping…

Oh and i kinda shop at conway (dirt cheap chain store) for cute shirts but they don’t let you try on anything… they hav a return policy but it’s not worth it. i don’t lke how the stuff fits… i like strawberrys and pay half and bolton’s and mandee’s for their designer bags/shoes at half price  and rite aid for my makeup stuff coz they always have a sale going on something  and i like payless for shoes :halo:

Re: ...Lets discuss shopping...

Speaking of cheap shopping, there's this place called Rugged Warehouse (where I bought my pink and black check shoes). There's wierd people there but it's so worth the stuff they have there. They've got a lot of retro clothes/shoes/etc. I love it.
