Desi i love the rich red colour of that suit! Not so sure about the embroidery though.

Wow that sounds like a good deal. Do post pix along the way. I'm kind of hesitant about getting my lengha made without actually being there. What if I dont llike it when I get it??
Darling you will. Go with somebody who has been doing this for generations... Samad's great grand parents did bridal clothes so can you imagine the expertise.
Anyway go to local shops try on styles (long shirt short shirts) and different colours to get an idea of what suits you.
Then hunt online for the right design and send it to the tailor who will then post you a sample to make sure he has grasped the same image in his head as you have and then full steam ahead! x
That sounds like a very interesting match. I had originally chosen green but I changed it to the traditional yellow! I'd love to see the pics!

No its fine now if you zoom into it! I still think the colour is breath taking but you could get better embroidery. Youve seen it close up right. It seems like a mix of gold and silver kaam and also turquoise stones x

The kaam is alot like the suit I originally had my heart set on. That was also a mixture of silver and gold kaam. For something like that I can see why you would be weay of getting it made without being present! If you do that make sure he sends you a sample!

Yeah. I hope so.... Im still not sure what I am going to do. I dont think I look good in red. :( I look better in lighter colors.
U had originally picked up a dark maroon lengha but I didnt feel comfortable with it because I'm a beige skin tone and I didnt think it would suit me.
I went to southall and tried on a suit there that was the same colour and I was right so i opted for a lighter red!

I am thinking yellow and green traditional for mendhi.
Always wanted to wear red on shaadi but going to have a touch of nice bottle green on borders
And for valima I need a good colour combination that'll go with Emerald Green? Any ideas?

I'm doing a rainbowish gharara for the mehndi with a yellow dupatta and shirt...
Red lehnga and green shirt for the wedding...
White lehga for the Walima with a flower in my hair :)..
The pink ribbon dress is stunning!! I actually think I have seen more pictures of it on here previously in another post! I would of loved to do pink but I wore that same shade for my Nikah a few months back so I decided to go traditional for the wedding and a little bit of modern flare on the Walima with white.
