^ Yes he was supported by the right wing, that includes religious parties and Pakistan Muslim League. He was very much against PPP, and thats why jiyalas were treated very badly during his reign. I think Punjabi jiyalas were treated the worst during that time (lashes and throwing them into prisons). He tried to counter ANP and pashtun nationalist parties with religious extremists, PPP in Sindh with MQM and shia resurgence with sectarian outfits like SSP. When we see now all his policies were a disaster.

All he did on the name of ‘sab se pehle Islam’ which surely didn’t help Islam in real sense

What do you think, if he was not killed, was he in a position to continue his rule further. I read in some books including 'A case of exploding mangoes that he was under psychological pressure during his last days especially due to the accidental death of TM (Tariq Mehmmod - SSG Group)
