Re: Leaving the laptop plugged in?
ohh nice topic , just do like me ,
i bought my laptop and 1 week later i bought an other battery as spare , then i do anything without getting worried ^^
if the other one got bad , the get 3rd one ^*
actually the main reason why i bought the second battery was that my LCD is CrystalBrite, which consume more power in exchange to give u clearer pictures.
Re: Leaving the laptop plugged in?
Dont charge Li-Ion if more than 95%. To store should be around 40% and they dont like full recharges but intermit charging. They get damaged by heat caused during charging so typically last about 400 charges. As already mentioned only reason for full discharging a Li-Ion is for resetting the charge meter. It goes out of sync with every charge so lets say after 2 months it might say the battery is 70% but really 20% as it needs recallibrating.
Sorry if all this is mentioned in the link but I couldnt be arsed reading.
