In London if you go into the shop for a minute and leave the engine running when you come out you will have to take a taxi home.

Thats a bit harsh on singling out London! I think apply almost everywhere.

Leaving fuel and environment saving aside, leaving car unattended with keys and even with a ignition off invalidates the insurance!
