hamzatul wasli i guess read and pronounced in every condition whether sentence starts with it or its between the sentence or word (i think)
but hamza tul qatai like i cannot explain but by example i might tell you
وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا** أُنزِلَ** مِن قَبْلِكَ وَبِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ ﴿٤](Tanzil - Quran Navigator | القرآن الكريم )﴾
الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ ﴿٣](Tanzil - Quran Navigator | القرآن الكريم )﴾
like if we stop at the ayah when we start the ayat now we read hamza tul qatai otherwise it get mix with the word and we don’t read it…
the red is hamza tul qatai
and the green is hamza tul wasli
right?
Umm … it is the other way round. Wasl will allow idghaam of the previous letter to the next letter (either side of the hamza) so long as the next letter is from the haroof-u-Shamsiyya. (sun letters).
