Shahreen baji, n where did u get this done..in Pakistan or USA? and how much did it cost u?
btw how do they do it…i mean does it hurt when they do that?? do they pull ur hair out o sumfin or wut?? n u mean to tell me that there is not even a single hair growing back?
Well as I said before, there are different kind of laser treatments available. Some only reduce hair growth but I believe Epilight and Aculight are the two that guarantee 100% hair loss, which one you have doen depends on your hair and skin colouring......mine was Epilight as I have sensitive skin.
First you have to go in for a patch test, mainly to see if your skin will react and also to guage how high the laser needs to be set. It doesn't hurt really, especially if you take a few painkillers half an hour beforehand. It feels like your skin is being pinged with hot elastic bands if that makes any sense. Afterwards they'll place icepacks on the area for a bit to take the pain away anyway. Try not to book a treatment just before your period because it will be very painful.
Treatments are usually 4-6 weeks apart, because of the hair growth rate etc. The only annoying thing is that you can't wax or remove hair in between treatments (apart from shaving) but you see a definite reduction in hair after around the second or third treatment. While you're being zapped you can smell the hair burning. Over the next few days the hair just fall out with friction from rubbing against your clothes. Every time you go back you'll notice new 'bald' patches on your skin which reassures you that its all working.
Haven't had any hair grow back since my last treatment about a year ago but if I do then I can just go back and get zapped again for free.
Shahreen: did they do ure eyebrow area too? It’s the eyebrows that are biatches for me but i was told u can’t put the laser so close to such a sensitive area
So now I got the information on prices, well its not quite cheap, but to think that you get rid of those hair forever, so the price is justified, also I would like to know that I am getting the best treatment and am told of all risks and after effects.
The range of price is different from clinic to clinic and the type of laser treatment and mainly to the size of the effective area.
1 an average clinic for face treatment using the Alexandrit-Laser, €180 pro session
2 a private clinic using LightSheer Laser €290 for whole face pro session.
4-5 session are mostly needed, each after a month, lighter hair, white hair may not be treated as well as darker hair, treated can be almost all areas of the body. (Even men are doing it!)
When/If I get information from PAK's clinics and their relalibility I will add here too.
I only had the gap between my eyebrows done but the rest they couldn’t touch because it’s too sensitive an area to treat (silly thing really as the following month I had laser eye surgery anyway) plus when you have it done they make you wear these huge tinted glasses to protect your eyes.
i just had threading done on my face for the first time
it was “of the great”.. very painless threading and she didnt use her mouth either… all by hand… good stuff :k: i was so scared beforehand.. but feel great now
hehe ummm actually ive been waxing my face for about 5 years now.. cus i hate the pain associated with threading... but i duno i think threading is arrite now depending on who does it...
its not painful.. i think its more the outcome that matters.. u need to be really careful with wat kinda wax u use and how u do it :)
naa! dont use cream on ur face.... r u talking about hair removal cream? ur hair would have grown back with double the thickness... its like shaving...
the pain goes away after one or two removals.. ur hands and legs will go numb.. trust me its not that bad if u get it done from the right people... and dont do it urself the first time otherwise u'll sit there reading bismillah for 10 minutes and the wax will go cold hehe...
I called a clinic in the States, and the doctor said he likes to use more than one machine for the hair removal and his cost was $235 per session. And after 6 sessions, you get half-price if you need it done again. I think thats a bit expensive, but not sure.
btw is it true that after u bleach ur hair and then get them threaded they come out soft and thin?? my cousin told me that..dono if it’s true
cuz i get mine threaded..i mean the sides n she said it comes out as if u’ve juz shaved em i dono wtf to doooooooo im so tired of dis pain crap too..so annoying aghhh n i hafta go like every 2 weeks
