Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

that girl is NOT a grown girl or woman. She is a kid. If u think women should wear sleeveless, then why do u expect men not to look at women after 1st glance ? Bibi , as i said earlier, it is the responsibiliy of both sides. Men should not look at girlz after 1st glance and women should wear Properly…

Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

I have no Issue. You can see, People are throwing personal comments about my AV. Surely a sign of defeat. They are speechless and have nothing to say, so they got Personal. And i am happy , mods are encouraging them by saying " hey , Good Point". I can just laugh. Cz these guys get Personal, when they have nothing to say. No logic. @mahool

Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

Lets not be personal with each other in all the threads. We know, we have different views on certain matters and we have talked about them, pointed fingers at each other more than required. Lets move on.

On topic, there are different social values in each culture and different values in same society that bella referred. The question arises, whether media should made ads considering the people who will use that product or the model who is endorsing such products? Say veena Malik or Humaima Malik or Juggan Kazim are endorsing a fabric, which is to be sold not oly in posh areas of Clifton, but also in New Karachi and Lalu Khet including by Hijabi ladies. How should that be promoted considering western values followed in posh areas (sleeveless) or with dupatta?

Jigar kay totay.. warning sab ko di hia... mod agree kary disagre kgary.. That is not an end of world. What I am saying stay on topic and it includes me and every poster.

Lets come back on topic.

Why lawn suits are becoming see through day by day? Kiya bachat hojati hia manufacture ki?

Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

products like veet should be promoted and sold only in Meena Bazars

Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

Sorry Sir, it was a joke. perhaps, not a very good one. im sorry it if came off as being so offensive.

Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

Manufacturer ki bachat ki baat nahin hai...baat yay hai ke when you live with scorching heat, 18 hr+ load shedding, no relief from the heat, thin, breathable materials are the best defense. That being said, I personally don't wear thin lawns, but then again, I also have the comfort of 24/7 central AC.

Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

bella.. Kuch Kuch Hota hai was released in 1997. I my slef personally have watched this movie for many times (thanks to our cable-wala). I like the bonding between Rahol and Anjali, but even after passing 16-17 years, do you think that such relationships exist or appreciated in Pakistani society.

I'm asking this as you referred popularity of bollywood movies in Pakistan, which have some stuff which doesn't suit our values, but families keep on watching that stuff. Recently, I watched a banner near Numaish Chorangi. It was probably by Al-Karam's new range of Kurtas. They have shown some college students (males and females) keeping their hands on shoulders of each other. I think this also had invited criticism 'Society of women education' as Numaish Chorangi is not only one the main points of city, but have imam bargahs and Masajids there.

Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

haha. i am a cool guy and i do not mind anything.. I enjoyed ur comment, No logic in it.

Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

lalu khait, lyari, new karachi walay also watch bollywood, perhaps even more than defense ones. I remember our maid in karachi, who lived in kacchi abadi got cable before we did. I have been to many poor areas in khi, even the houses with teen wali chhat had a dish antenna(before cable took over).
if we do a survey right now in pakistan of how many people watch fahash Indian movies at home vs how many don't, dont you think majority of them watch them? the only ones who dont are the very religious ones, but are they in the majority? i have come across plenty of jamat islami and tableeghi jamat ones who are against all kinds of media behayai, but i didn't think those people were in the majority.

Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

What would you say about this? I know people watch bollywood movies more than Pakistani stuff and those included people living in poor areas, but can we say watching such stuff means they socially and publicly accept what is shown in such movies?

Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

her reply would be "hey, i know a lot of people, who are doing it in pakistan" just wait and see

Re: Lawn Suits and Vulgar banners!

i agree that our values are not the same as what they show in bollywood. Even average indian women dont dress the way bollywood actresses do. In many Bollywood movies, you see girls wearing such skimpy clothes while going to college. even in America, no one wears that to school or in public for the most part. lol. I think average Indians in general are just as conservative as pakistanis about most things, and bollywood doesn't represent them either.

my point was simply that majority of pakistanis watch much more uryaniat and fahashi on tv on daily basis, so is it really a big deal if its on billboards?
