I cam to paklinks to write a looooooooooooooong annoyed rant about the increasing lawn rates ! I have been buying gul ahmed lawn for many years and i am seeing how steadily they are increasing their rates. Not only their lawn collection of this year is a disaster but the audacity to charge and ask for a normal 3 piece lawn approx 2500. I used to buy them not even a long time ago only in 2008 for 1000 max ...and GUl ahmed fleur de chiffons for 2000/ 2400 max ...they have doubled and even tripled their prices!
I would not be surprised if Gulahmed will be asking IN a few years 6000 for a 3 piece lawn suit (they are already doing it with their 4500 price range collection) and that they are following the trend of the Fb vendors for selling them at market prices for 10.000
Menhgayee and loadshedding aside which they claim adds to the increase of lawns.....the demand and supply is bollocks too because this trend has been introduced by Big name designers stepping into lawn and the others are happily following the trend and lifting with the price increase.
I dont mind paying something more for a quality fabric and then i have the luck that i earn in euros and spend in ruppees (The advantage of stronger currencies) but paying 6000 each for multiple UNSTITCHED CLOTH is insane. ( the hassle of darzis, being dependent on fb vendors quoting $100 for a lawn suit , the shipping costs ,.........woahhhhhhh dont even get me started)
I dont have a rishwat earning husband neither am i a defence housewife snob....I am a working ladyyyyy.....paying this much for lawn is just a BIG RIP OFF ..........EXCUSE MY RANT I TRIED TO KEEP IT SHORT !
