Gone are the days when sales men would throw 'tan' after tan of kapra to show you prints and fabric, now it was like, me: kyon si new lawn ai hai?
sales man: Asim J ji
me: acha deekhai
him: pls select from catalogue. I point out to a print, him: yeh nahi ai hai .. me: acha yeh print daakhai: him: yeh bi nahi .. Me: acha tu kyoun si ai hai ? .. he takes the catalogu and points out the ones that are there, not really my liking but just to see whats it like, I point out one and he orders it from back, the lawn is in a elegant daaba (box) .. he takes out pieces by pieces of folded kapra for kameez, salwaar, dupata, gaala. Time consuming and not really a good impression of how the finished piece will look like, I think for such pieces its better to see them stitched at exhibitions.
^and they rite away ask mam ye kerdu and i am like NO i am just checking and they give u a wierd look and thinks back in their mind KITNI GHAREEB HAI CHI :D
buhut zeda, the one piece I dealt with had attitude problem, he would give me leftovers from last year and say, take it (like giving me an order ) I gave him a piece of my mind before I left.
But I gotta say, some, (most) were very nice and with nice ones I would buy something even if I had not planned too.
has anyone seen HSY? its pathetic. whats wrong with the designers this year, everyone is coming out with such loud, bold, big prints that are overpriced.
in a way, its good. saves me alot of money!!! :)
