Any reviews on Deepak Parwani?
I went to see the Asim Jofa today and to be honest it's really not to my taste. Its being marketed aa formal lawn but I'm pretty old skool and i dont see it as being formal at all. It's slightly thicker than say Gul ahmed lawn with a whole load of motifs and some puttees. I couldn't justify paying 8k for it but again ladies this is my humble opinion.

Some of the replicas
They do look formal from a distance but the material is still a very light cotton. Once all of the hundreds of puttees and motifs gave been added I feel the material becomes quite heavy and weighed down.

^ I agree. I haven't seen it in person but can see the lawn element in the pics. It is just "overly dressed up" lawn. To be honest, it is not appealing enough for me to spend so much on a lawn outfit. Lawn is lawn after all. Although I do love lawn, most people don't wear it that often where I live. So I'd rather spend the same amount of money on nicely stitched chiffons, silks, etc.

I saw a great replica or elan 13 a, the grey and red one and SS 8 a and b, 11b, 12 A. Will take pics next time I go.
also saw a replica of elan 8a/b, shop keepers say they got shirt and trouser from the original manufacturer and made their own dupattas, "buss aap original hi samjhain"

Thank you raania, that would be helpful. I have also seen some good pictures of Sana safinaz and gul Ahmed replicas on Facebook but not any elan. I'm really after 13b but can't get it over here in UK from anyone. It seemed to have sold out before getting to most stores in Pakistan apparently. If anyone can source one I would be grateful.

It will be a miracle if you can get the original 13b, unless someone's selling it at a higher cost I just saw one piece at the tailor that was still unstitched and I found it to be a bit meh but saw someone wearing 13 A and rocking it,

Yes sometimes unstitched doesn't look all that but when you see it stitched it looks way better!

WOW! i also saw a replica of elan 4b on fb. other elan replicas are popping up, like the tiger print one, (dont know the catalog number). if the quality is the same then whats the point of spending so much money on an original??
and raania, pls post pics, would love to see it.
and as for SS, their entire collection has been replicated, in print as well as emb!!
