I liked laila wasti...she was pretty n acted well in most of the dramas.....one of her best performance was is in drama SAIBAN....

@ SAJAL.......it was a gharailo/family story.....adnan saddiqui laila ka husband hota hai......qaiser naqwi laila ki maa bani hui thi they show ke kaise maa apni beti ko chalakiyan sikhati hai ke susral mein kaisey rehna hai. beti ko taweewz dilwati hai ke susral walon ke ghar bandh do jadoo khatam ho jaye ga lekin uske susral wale bohat ache hote hain.....

It came in the magazine SHE that Tahira Wasti was running a "shady" parlour by the name of "Beauty Spot" in Clifton. Several girls were reported missing after visiting the parlour and the manager even commented on how she takes the girls out for late night makeup, which later was revealed that those girls were actually doing illegal prostitution.
As I said earlier I do have better things to do besides digging-up or better yet making up masala stories! LOL arjay at times u shud also accept that things such as these do occur in the showbiz world.

INDEED...it's a free world! One is free to write, speak and act as he/she may desire! Afterall...that's what we get educated for..and if we get a grip to write...it is our right to become a BULL in a china shop!
What SHE has written...does not become our moral and National duty to ensure that it reaches every nook and corner of the world....but then again.. an IDLE mind is a DEVIL's workshop!
Never have I seen such rot written or cascaded or passed on.. on someone for no rhyme or reason !

LOL arjay i'm still very much on topic! We're talking about Laila and Tahira Wasti and I added what SHE wrote about them! I myself didn't draw-up another thread putting them down! It's alright to support the film/drama fraternity it's NOT alright to deny everything that actually goes-on in the showbiz/drama world. I have been there and can safely say it is not all pure and decent! Just like the SAH thread there are some positive and some negative reviews...
Whatever SHE had written was read by a few million people, so u brainwashing a few guppans won't change that at all =) and as I've said earlier I do know what i'm talking about. No Uljhan is from karachi Starring Sadia Imam
and Daldal is from Lahore starring Firdos jamal, Arifa Siddiq,nida mumtaz and it was written by Mirza Athar Baig.
The drama which i was talking Laila wasti and the husband was noman ejaz. it was husband wife story written by Amjad Islam Amjad. i think the period was 1993 or 1994. Amjad write it after DIN drama which was in 1992. Din was a hit drama but the other drama was not so hit, that way i forget the name.

ULJHAN of LAHORE was a tele-play (long play).....probably 91-92...so was DALDAL and you are right on its details.
I spoke to Tahira a few hours ago...and she too faintly remembers the name as ULJHAN. Frankly we both were perplexed on the male lead but I did say it could be Nomy....

It was not long play, it was serial may be 7 or 8 episode. The actor was noman ejaz, i am not sure about the director.

No, now i remember bandagi was another drama of Humayon Saeed and Bandhan was also different drama of Nadia Khan.
