Does any one know the history why that city was given that name ‘Lahore’? It is quite possible that when French, who came to India before British, gave city that name because of its infamous hira mandi.

I've heard the joke many times by non-La-horis. I keep telling them La-hore does not have a double-u in it so it's not the same thing.

Its in Markham and is in recognition of local Councelor Khalid Usman who has been elected for the 3rd term in locals.
Town of Markham and city of Peshawar in Pakistan are also branded as twin cities
