yes indeed lagaan is a land mark movie
its rather unfortunate that it was a bit slow to pick up due to this racist movie gadar
never mind lagan is this years indian entry to oscars
I saw this movie yesterday and what I really liked about lagaan was the acting..it was simply amazing, had a little hard time in understanding their hindi maybe it was due to the poor sound quality but the caption helped

Correct me if i’m wrong but this is not the first cricket movie of amir khan.. there was a movie by name “Awal number” and it has some decent casting too.. Even in that movie Amir khan hits a sixer at the very last ball of the match hehe..too bad the movie flopped big time..

rani when you dont apprecaite a classic movie like "lagaan " just because it clashes with a racist movie like gadar shows your mentality and your attitute towards muslims had you said "fine gadar is good movie at the same time lagan is also a good movie ' it would have been understandble but you chose to mock lagan this shows your hatred towards muslims .
you call lagan unrealistic ? then is realistic for a sardar to single handedly take on the pakistan army? you call that realistic? applause for you prejudice and intelligence!!
1) lagan is a classic movie
2)when i was watching lagan in the cinema hall every indian irrespective of thier caste or religion was cheering the indian team.
3)the story of lagan builds national integration there is a muslim ismail in the team who comes out after being injured to bat
there is a untouchable called "kachra" who is admonished by the rest of the villagers for playing with the high caste but bhuvan (aamir khan ) stands by the harijan and makes the rest of the villagers accept him in the team so there is another message that goes against the brahmin society which is a stigma on indian culture.
4) there is a sardar also present in the team who comes to help the villager in the match so there is a token sikh presence also that makes the movie a complete national character
lagan is a classic movie which shows the struggle of the poor peasants against the british .
lagan will go down the history as one of the best made movies of all time and people will forget gadar after few months these are not my observations but observations of mr shekhar gupta the editor of indian express
rani the fact that you cant appreciate a movie like lagan either because you want gadar to score over lagan or because lagan is made by aamir khan a muslim which ever the reasons rani you are exposed as a racist
i just loved that movie...in my opinion it wa st he best movie i have watched in years...even my parents watched it...even though they never do
