All he would do is go to sleep, work, come home, and watch TV or play video games. He does not have any friends and doesn't show much interest, sexual or otherwise, in you. He is not that interested in any activities with you either. If there are kids, your husband does not change his habits. If its an arranged marriage where both families are extremely close, so it would not be easy to get a divorce.
When my husband watches tv/plays video games/goes out with friends i.e. doesnt pay attention to me..I either talk to my mom/friends, log onto GS, fb or read books..everyone needs their personal time..but like what u mentioned if its so severe and happens all the time then the man needs some :dandaa:

umm that's not a marriage, dahling. That's just a teenage boy for whom the mom has hired a maid.

aww i know how you feel.... my hubs the same, since he's putting on weight, dozing off at ridiculous times and basically boring, has nothing interesting to talk about except his childhood back home:repeat episode over n over again... i just want someone else to step in my shoes n give him a big kick up his *** to see what he's doing to himself & his companion.

why is it assumed that the problem is with his attitude or personality only.
maybe some self reflection is in order as well, what has changed with the woman, or..has been asked but has not changed. do you have common interests or shared interests, do you force him to take part in things that he has no interest in? if he has no interest in desi/nondesi/ whatever movies/events/ and thats where you want to go..also how do you look physically, groom yourself, dress, speak, act..what are you doing or not doing that can be a source of annoyance for him and thus detaching himself is the only way to avoid a conflict for him. Many things to think about.

^ But the OP says that the boring husband does not change his attitude when it comes to his kids either. So really, the husband is like that no matter who he is dealing with. Pretty much the boring husband is not interested in the family. So it doesn't have anything to do with the wife being uninteresting or whether is well-groomed or not.

If he likes playing video games play with him. If he's watching tv watch what he's watching and take interest. You could be his friend and do the things he likes with him ...

nope, the OP used the term 'if' as in 'if' there are kids.
so the presence of kids in this hypothetical scenario is a possible condition, with has two different situations, one where there are kids, one where there are no kids, and the rest is still the same.
so my original questions still stand..
now if i were to address the situation where kids are present, are the kids too little, are they bratty, are they just royal pain in the asses unleashed on him as soon as he walks in after a grueling day of work..and thus get little interaction..you never know
I mean for all we know everyone is perfect and this dude has clinical depression which needs to be treated, but that is not the only possibility.
PS: it can be one or more things going on, so the possibility that the woman has to do some self reflection is real, regardless of whatever may be the root cause of his behavior. It can not be just excluded as a possible factor.

I would advise the wife to put magic mushrooms in her husband's drinks and take pleasure in seeing him hallucinate - also, to drug him with natural viagra alternative ...
A husband who is on automatic mode can be so much fun for the wife if she puts her mind to it. He can be her very own robot.
If nothing dangerous then she can also create a diary of "quirky things her husband does" by keeping a log book of all the things her husband does and at what times.
She can observe him like he is living his life and one day to leave the book in open view for him to accidentally come across it ... revealing to him his traits.
