Sis, it's against Islamic etiquette to discuss openly about intimate things that goes on between husband and wives. That's all I say saying.
Kaaf, with all due respect Islam DOES address issues regarding intimicay between a husband and wife. The OP isn't going into detail. And if her post is conjuring up certain images in your mind (or that of others), it can even be argued that the reader is the one with the problem.

Also, I agree about Islam addressing that, but we should keep it general. For example, "A woman might want to send certain hints to her husband that she wants to be intimate with him" and not be personal like, "Once I did this with my husband..."

Ok, I’ll be the first to take the plunge…yes, I have no problems with initiating intimacy with my husband, and he certainly does not mind either! 
I find him insanely hot!! We are married for God’s sake…it’s perfectly Halal! Up until my mom passed away my husband and I have always taken trips away from the kids whenever possible to have time to ourselves. Aside from just being “mama” & “papa” to the kids, we also have a separate relationship amongst ourselves!
And as I’m not one to kiss and tell, that’s all you’re going to get out of me!

^^^Intimacy is a precious gift/bond between husband and wife. Like any other part of your marriage, it needs time to nurture and grow. As time goes by, you'll soon grow comfortable enough with yourself and your husband, I'm sure! Just like there will be times when you're "not in the mood" there will be plenty of times when you are and will take it upon yourself to get what you want!!

and this makes me wonder when will we grow up finally and start to acknowledge sex being a vital part of our married lives (why objection when it is talked about in legit terms like huband wife relationship) There is no denying the fact that religion prohibits giving out your exual life's details to the people but that is mainly to avoid chaskay baazi isnt it? How about the people who have to consult doctors and consultants and therapists and psychologists? Isnt it sharing the details then?
