baad mein khana gale se niche nahi uteragi, for dil-e-kamzor, I blame pundas coz I live with them:D, some of these creature eat their own body part:bummer: some eat burnt corpses and others even worship corpse before eating it. They don’t bath of years and have hairs like roots of Banyan tree:bummer:

My Dada's house had a Kuwan shared with a Hindu family, but I was not aware of the Hindu Pani / Muslim Pani concept until I read it urdu literature :D

In dry areas, drilling of a well costs so much that people lost their all wealth and sometimes they don't get the purpose (water) from such exercise. I also read that the workers required for drilling well need good diet (protien rich), so the cost of labor was too high, as the person appointing such labor had to provide fish, eggs, milk, meat to such labor during their work.

oh i see...it's understandable then why it's so expensive to dig a well.

in Allahabad and Lucknow, the water table is about 40 feet deep...i remember pulling the balTii of paanii with a longgggg rope...about 50 feet long and it was very heavy to carry it to the well from home...my home was about a 100 yards away.

in Aligarh, the water table is justy 10-15 feet deep so we had hand-pumps there. now, they have running water from the water tank.

lemme tell you, life was extremely tough in the village but we were quite happy! :)

Life was beautiful because these things connected people to their land. Technology does make people's life easy, but it takes away the feelings :(

very sad :( ab Kunwan aur jogi ka zikr filmi ganon main milta hai... jaise 'main Ramta Jogi' aur 'kunwan maa doob jaongi'.. Ra'hut to shayad boht se logon ke liye kisi doosre sayyare ki cheez ho :(

Mere gaon me mere ghar ke samne hi kuwan hua karta tha...aur wo private ownership wala nahi public kuwan tha magar wo sukh gaya........:(

Fir log hamare ghar ke Hand pump ka istemal karne lage............:D
magar afsos hamare ghar ka pani bhi unke kaam na ata..kyon ke wo meetha nahi tha...tyo hamare parosy uss pani ka use bahar ke istemaal ke liye kia karte the....:D
