Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

Re: Kim Kardashian’s Wedding.

their mom has a fantastic figure, what kind of message are you trying to send out to women…harsh much?

also the other poster was right the necklace in the hair thing is a cultural armenian bridal thing:

now that i see it’s a cultural heritage thing i feel a bit bad about my previous knock of it…

Re: Kim Kardashian’s Wedding.

:rotfl: that phrase cracks me up :hehe:

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

liked her head piece and the venue was pretty.

I love her head piece

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

I must say Armenian women are good looking.

Re: Kim Kardashian’s Wedding.

she looks so different with her clothes on.

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

I think she looked gorgeous! I loved her head-piece thing, which was a nod to her armenian culture. And yes, her mom's dress was just tacky. Also, I read that the dress code was black and white only. I hated her husband's white suit, kinda' tacky and Vegas-ish.

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

i find the headpiece ridiculous. she looks like she's playing cleopatra in a cheesy 80's flick.
imo, she's a really pretty girl, she could have done so much more with the look.

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

armenian.

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

given their finances, i highly doubt her mom's dress was a "cheap imitation"... it was probably hand-made by the designer him/herself!

T](http://stylenews.peoplestylewatch.com/2011/08/23/kim-kardashian-wedding-dress-pictures/)he THREE Vera Wang dresses she wore throughout the day…I think they all look nice although I think the second one likely suited her the most. I guess we’ll see when the pics come out!

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

armenian women are very good looking ..definitely. The headpiece thingie ( i liked it ) is a traditional thing... like how we wear tikka's and jhoomers and naths on our wedding days. I think it is nice that she decided to go traditional with that bit. I jsut recently went to an armenian wedding and the bride also wore something similar around her head... rather than a tiara.

I wasn't a fan of the dress code... guests could only wear white or black and i guess same goes with the bridal party. But hey..kim was the bride and we are all advocates here that a bride should do what she wants to do on her day right? And if everyone is on board (which it seems like they were)..then even better.

I'm not a fan of the mom's dress.... but im usually not a fan of the mother of the brides (or grooms) dresses for weddings in general. Either i think they are too simple or too overdone and they are trying too hard. This goes for both desi or non/desi weddings I have attended. It is hard to find a mom that appropriately dressed and elegant in the way she pulls it off. But again i usually have the opinion that..hey... if they like it ..then who are we to judge?

Vera Wang was interviewed and she said she designed the dresses personally and worked closely with kim in regards to her dresses. So yea..definitely no cheap imitations here............

Kim look...im glad she wore her hair up in a fancier do..its usually in a simple updo or her signature hair down/wavy/loose curl. Her makeup seemed the norm for her but that is what works for her! She is so drop dead gorgeous in my opinion and knows exactly what looks good on her..why change it up? I kinda like that she didnt go with feirce red lipstick or dramatic eyemakeup like she does on some of her sexier photoshoots. With heavier makeup she can look a little TOO overdone and overly sexy very easily. So good for her. I actually did my own makeup on my wedding day and everyone told me that I did not go over the top and it was good. I did my makeup in a way I know looks good on my face and enhances the features to their fullest without going over the top. I got a lot of compliments here on GS on my makeup and lots of PM's on how I did my makeup and what products I used. I think its easier to hate on kim since she is not hte one posting on here about her wedding.

As for the dresses... i wished she was covered up more. But it looks like she went for the princess fairy tale type of dress. We will have to see what all 3 dresses looked like. :D can't wait. Especially for the airing of the entire wedding! October is so far away :(

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

Some may say a Jhoomar and Naath look ridiculous, but it's from ones culture ey?

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

The headpiece looks cute, don't Indian's have something similar? Not sure about the upper part of the dress though, it does make her look rather stocky.

I actually prefer her makeup as opposed to the desi 'slap on as much foundation to change your skin colour/ rainbow eye shadow look. She looks like herself, makeup is there enhance your features not to mask them.

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

sure, but not everything cultural is pleasing to everyone, right?

i agree with you about the makeup- flawlessly done.

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

Her make up surprisingly doesn't appear all caked up and drag Queen-ish like it usually does, she looks nice I guess. The headpiece would've looked better if didn't look like a necklace so much. Overall a very tacky and plastic wedding by the looks of it, I prefer Kate Moss' wedding over this nouveau riche extravagance.

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

She was hot before

Re: Kim Kardashian’s Wedding.

sigh love her and love the Kardashian’s too…

Re: Kim Kardashian's Wedding.

i thought she looked great! and love the headpiece...would have loved something like that when i was getting married =)

Re: Kim Kardashian’s Wedding.

ok i gotta admit, the whole ensemble, including that headpiece, look MUCH better in this picture than the ones posted before- http://stylenews.peoplestylewatch.com/2011/08/26/style-news-nows-hottest-headlines-of-the-week-61/
