Both boys and girls should be independent enough to be able to survive on their without having to ask for help on the simplest household chores. Am glad you have raised your son like that.
he would grow up to respect all women as well as be independent and be thankful when has a job or university - where he would need to juggle with studies and household chores all by himself :)
This now raises another problem enigmatic because my son has just informed me, quite seriously that he intends to stay at home with me forever and ever and never marry. He doesn't want to leave me and get married lol!! Now hoe do I get out of that one???

I know cos at the moment, he hates girls, he has 3 sisters mashallah and there is a girl in his class who's always chasing him, bless him, he's nearly 9 so plenty of time for all that lol. I know that as soon as he hits high school, the girls will turn his head and he'll forget what he's told me lol!!

I think you are doing the perfect thing. I think moms play the most important role in how their sons turn out.
