Re: Kids and No TV?
I dont allow my daughter to watch alot of tv but, the programs she does watch I select them eg Dora, fun with phonics etc, she likes watchin lazy town too, she did want to watch high school musical on nickolodian as the kids in school r in to it, but I dont allow it.
( i dont let her watch nickolodain as I dont think it is suitable for 4 year olds, and I dont thinks its teachs anything but short skirts, girl, boys together romantically etc)
I then encourage her to play in he room and I have tried to always make stimulating activities available for her so that she doesnt get bored ,eg cooking, playing with water tray sticking, puzzles, I also make sure that the afternoon ( after she gets back from nursery ) is structured so she knows how much telly she can gonna watch, ( no more then an hour) so its telly, playtime, learning time, dinner, bathtime etc and it works for both me and her!
