I can't even tolerate these digests. I know bout them coz most women are hooked on them especially in Pakistan, so co-workers/class mates used to discuss stories and bring the digests at college.

One of my teachers in University used to say ke Khawateen digest ne hamari qoam ko kharab kar diya hai… No one is used to serious reading, like everyone does abroad.
And I agree, it all non sense…
Fazool afsanay and kahaniyan :naraz:Cant even tolerate them.. :barbie:

I used to read Jasoosi Digest; Suspense Digest; Khawa-3 digest (some times) + all the other Allum Ghallum Digests which US named in his reply… and above all I was a big “Pankha” of Ibn-e-Safi and his Imran Series…

Earlier I was not reading the Imran Series, but my younger brother used to read almost the whole night… Since we were sharing the same room and he used to keep the lights on (and as I was unable to sleep with the lights on - even now a small night bulb irritates me :mad: ). One day my brother said to me: Bhaijan aap aik dafa parrh kar daikhain… Aap ko pataa chal jaey ga - then I took one of the novel and started reading it… after reading 2 or 3 pages I threw the novel and said its boring… my brother said just finish it one go… That was the day (actually night) when I read the entire series in one shot and from that day we both were reading till early in the morning… From there I got the “Chaska” of the “X2” and “Prince of Dhamp” :roman:

believe it or not but i started earning urdu reading as i used to be intrigued listening to these teen aurtein teen kahaniyahn...my sis n mum used to read em out loud for me bless em but now mashallah i read v well in urdu n write n i think its te best , true or not they certainly make us wanna read more
