All said and done.....in today's cricket, the batsman is the KING and the bowler is the COURT JESTER. In other words, the BOWLER only serves to help the batsman entertain the crowd.
To extend the analogy:
Umpire is the Ace
Batsman is the King
Trophy/Audience is the Queen
Bowler is the Jester
