Kerala is a very beautiful place. You all must go there if you get a chance. It is also very geared towards tourists.
Queer, I have some kathakali pictures too. I will post them soon. The kalari payattu picture is awesome. Like the movie Matrix without special effects.
Since you guys are talking about culture lemme ask few questions too. I have heard that in some tribal villages women don't wear blouses. They just wrap sari's pallu around their upper torso....is that true??
...and i also read somewhere that when the cast system was wild in kerala, lower caste women were not allowed to cover their breasts??

Religion was created by man.....but dont forget......man was created by God.... Allah Ho Akhbar, Halleluiah, Jay Dev..... all are salutations to the Great One....
Although i am from north, there are lot of Keralities in Delhi i can relate to the culture. I love to watch Bharatnatyam. I always thought Kathakali is from north and Bhartatnatyam from south but i guess they have Kathakali in south too.

Hain? Is blouse thing a news to you? I cant say anything about the last statement. I am not sure though. However, probably it could be true.

Yeah but dont you think the book was kinda silly -- I dont know how she got the Booker for it !! You tend to lose the flow of the narration because of the unnecessary detailed descriptions of unimportant things. But that book must have surely provided a big boost for "Kerala Tourism".
