So he’s from Africa and was not a politician or religious figure. Which well-known personalities from Africa, died after 1950 and wrote something non-fiction.

Wait until Xeno answers the maybe we should be if he’s an athlete or entertainmer who may have written a book.

And for being political - that’s not necessarily being a politician, which was the original question. But people think of obscure personalities - Arli come up with this answer.
