OK here is the synopsis updated:
A Male. The person was a writer, but primarily known for his other instrumental role in a movement/revolt at a specific region. He died in the 20th Century (after 1900). He was not a South Asian Pakistani.
Hint: His life and legacy was also played in a movie.
Updated:
Person is of European origin. Nor was he a politician, religious, or showbiz personality.
Another hint: Yes it was more of a political, rebel, and revolt movement in a specific region He led the indigenous people of those lands to overthrow of a dynasty and establishment of many present day states in that geographical region.

Lawrence Of Arabia? T.E. Lawrence? He was involved in a revolt.
He wrote his biography. There is movie on him. Died in 1935.

***Pretty simple game. You have to guess a famous person or place or event/inventions/technology in 20 questions
Last game was won by DIWANA . He has suggested a **Person *. **
Rules:
- Only 20 questions can be asked.
- We will only answer Yes or No, so think before you post questions.
- Question within question would weigh total number of questions (example:- was he a famous 20th century scientist? would weigh 2 questions if it's already not established that personality IS a scientist).
- If you want a hint then it will cost you 2 questions.
- Members can pm AV MODS if they have something in mind and they want other members to guess it.
- Guessing GUPPIES is not allowed, although they are famous but still NO.
- You can discuss it with other players and post questions for each other's attention. When you do this, start your post with "not a question for game" and we will ignore that post.
- The winner will host the next Kasouti game. Winner will PM AV mods the next question, DO NOT change it once game has started and stick with what you have PMed AV mods.
- The Winner will act as Host of the next thread and must QUOTE & NUMBER the questions and answer with a Yes or No .
