Light per say isn’t an invention. The use of electricity (which always existed) was an invention and you already asked about William Gilbert, who was credited with being the father of electricity, and given the answer of “no”. A light bulb itself is a consumer product so that couldn’t apply either.

Not light bulb, but I was asking about light in general, which was disvered by Maxwell I believe.
