The Jan Commission report implicates J&K Police officers (not all Muslim, BTW) of tampering with evidence in the cover-up **following the rape/murder of Neelofar and Asiya. The commission further accused the government of interfering with its work, and preventingthem from identifying the rapists/murders. Given the police involvement in the cover-up, the Commission reported that the **could not rule out police involvement in the murders themselves...a far cry from "implicating" the police in the muders.
It's not that I consider J&K state police particularly admirable or worth defending...they are, after all, just another instutution of the occupation government. They also encompass several forces, like the SOG (Special Operations Group), Counter-Intelligence operations, etc that are almost exclusively comprised of non-Kashmiris and Indian government sponsored Ikhwani terrorists. I just wanted to point out the ridiculous verbal gymnastics of the hindian media.
So on one hand you believe the fantassy that kashmir muslims hate India and on the other hand a police force comrpising predominatly one can say even exclusively of kashmriri muslims smoehow does India's biudding..
What kind of hatrred is this......
Lame excuses don;t run far it gets exposed by its own contradictions

I don't know if you're just fishing for excuses, or if you're really this simple minded.
I never claimed every single Kashmiri opposes Indian occupation; but its a virtually indisputable fact that the vast majority do. Every occupation has had its local collaborators...need I remind you that the British didn't occupy India with their own soldiers; rather, they managed to build up an army of natives to do their bidding. It wasn't white European soldiers who massacred hundreds of civilians at Jalianwala Bagh...it was an army comprised almost exclusively of local Dogra, Gurkha, Pathan, and yes, even Sikh soldiers. By your logic, the fact that the British occupation of the Subcontinent was maintained by an army comprised almost exclusively of locals means that most Indians supported British rule.

I will put it as your fantassy..
British ruled when people were indifferent when people hated them they had to leave..As per your fantassy kashmir muslims hate India yet there is muslim police force doing India's bidding.. i wud not call India; bidding though I am borrowing your terminology.. IN myu book whoever it's indian army jawan or kashmiri police force jawan if they have raped they need to face the law as simple as that..
so which one it's again.. litany of lame excuses never cease do they

Too bad there was a British Indian Army, comprised almost entirely of natives, maintaining British rule till Partition itself...a time when most of us who still have an iota of common sense tend to believe that public opinion in the Subcontinent was by and large against British rule. And as your freedom fighters were taking out their Quit India protests, it was their own Indian brethren beating them down with lathis and opening fire on unarmed civilians. Again, every occupation has had its local collaborators...they're hardly an indicator of public opinion.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...if you honestly believe that we support Indian occupation, then just give us our plebiscite and silence the APHC, Pakistan, and the UN once and for all. If you really believed that nonsense, you'd have nothing to lose. The trouble is, even you know deep down inside that you're lying, and that given the choice, its inconceivable that the people of Kashmir would opt for Indian rule.

So are you indirectly saying that not all Kashmiri Muslims are acting against India and some of them are actually doing India's bidding.

Not happening !!
You all can keep whining about Indian occupation all you like on internet forums with all the "tamaashbeens" clapping at your words, but thats where it ends. Either stay as part of India or GET OUT !!
Yes because I certainly haven’t talked about people like the Abdullah family and other pro-India puppets supporting the occupation and doing New Delhi’s bidding before. Keep up the buffoonery…at this point its just entertaining to see what nonsense you people will post next
Like I said, for all your whining you know most Kashmiris hate your government. Thank you for proving my point.

I heard all I needed to hear.
Feel free to bray and bark in hatred about whatever else you want. You've already amply demonstrated that you're incapable of anything approaching intelligent debate.

Re: Kashmir protests after tests confirm women’s rape
Peace All
In rampant debates about who did it the locals themselves or the Indian forces is irrelevant. This should not be allowed to happen and the focus should be on protecting women. To defend or accuse without evidence and NEWS is not evidence is near to idiocy.
Re: Kashmir protests after tests confirm women’s rape
Slective reporting from DAWN. Dawn does not like to say that Kashmiri local police did it. But Kashmir Mulsim police have become Indian police men now. Read through the artcile, one can sense that reporter is trying to blame Indian securty forces.
SRINAGAR: A court in Indian-administered Kashmir ordered the arrest of four police officers on Wednesday for allegedly destroying evidence in the rape and murder of two women that triggered violent protests last month.
Barin Ghosh, chief justice of the Jammu-Kashmir High Court, also DNA samples from the four men to be matched with the semen found on the bodies of the two women – a 17-year-old girl and her 22-year-old sister-in-law.
The women’s bodies were found in a shallow stream in Shopian, a town 35 miles south of Srinagar on May 30.
The incident has further inflamed anti-India sentiments in Indian-administered Kashmir, a Muslim-majority territory where militant groups have been fighting for independence since 1989. More than 68,000 people have been killed, most of them civilians.
An independent inquiry last month by a retired judge into the rape-murder did not name any suspect but found the four policemen guilty of destroying and suppressing evidence while investigating the case. They were subsequently suspended from duty.
Ghosh’s order to test the DNA indicates he believes the four men could be suspects in the case.
Police had initially said the two women appeared to have drowned but a week later classified the case as that of rape and murder.
The army or the police in Indian-administered Kashmir have not responded to the allegations or to Wednesday’s development.
The discovery of the women’s bodies triggered widespread anger in Shopian, where the residents believed the killings were carried out by security forces. Two people were killed and more than 400 injured in weeklong violent demonstrations and clashes between residents and police in Shopian.
On Wednesday, Ghosh asked Shopian residents to end the complete shutdown that has paralyzed normal life in the town since the bodies were found.
Human rights groups and separatist leaders have long accused Indian security forces of using rape and sexual molestation to intimidate the local population. Rights groups say investigations into such crimes rarely yield results and are often meant only to calm public anger.
Kashmir is divided between India and Pakistan that is claimed in its entirety by both. The South Asian neighbours have fought two of three wars over Kashmir since independence from Britain in 1947
