I actually think that Karzai won’t be doing the Najibullah funky chicken dance after all. It looks like he’s figuring out how to survive once foreign forces leave. I think he’ll negotiate his life and money in return for handing over Afghanistan to the Taliban and being allowed to live.

I believe so. He wants his brother in power after he retires (which may require rigging), the international community might not condone it. Thats the reason for the posturing. If he is able to cut a deal with taliban then that would ensure safety for him.
