How soon will they be in service and how soon will I be able to travel without a ticket, throw paan ki peekayn on the seats, deface the toilets with my political (and sexual) innuendos and how soon before I can start arguing with other passengers over trifle issues and most important of all, how soon before they become defunct and extinct like all the other 'nice' things that we got but never deserved? sigh...Allah humari qaum ko hur naimat ko baratna naseeb karay...Ameen...

My last long train travel in PK was from Lahore to Quetta on 7th August 1981 - Chilton. A 10 years old boy got angry with his mother (& grand ma) saying its awful to travel by train & refused to travel back by train & he flew back with his Grand ma - thanx to PIA.

24th August 1981 - I last time saw my grand ma, never saw her again.

Im not sure...but wasnt this train given by China? I heard they were to help pakistan improve its railway.If so THANK YOU CHINA!

I remember my father told me that some country had donated trains to Pakistan when it was first formed -- and that the people took the seats out from the train and used them for i dont know what :0
