it has really changed over the last 10 yrs or so ... there are few skyscrapers under construction at the moment, so after few years will be seeing more tall buildings in downtown Karachi ...
and I remember reading somewhere its actually one of the cheapest citiy in the world!

Yeah, I remember reading an MSN review that Karachi was voted the cheapest city in the world. I think it was definitely the case a few years ago, but my parents are currently out there and they said prices have really gone up since.

Shaheen Complex is on Chundrigar Road, previously known as Macleod Road :)
Part of road at the back of uni towers (on I I Chundrigar Road) still is called Mccleod road.
PS: Karachi look so beautiful in pictures , i wish the law and order situation gets better.

right, for a common man, its def not a cheap city, i think it might cheaper as compared to Isl and Rawalpindi(thts what I have heard from friends)
but yes sadly, in the last 4 5 years prices are gone up, esp food prices!!
