What about National Stadium to Nazimabad, Sir Shah Suleman Road ? Thats along with Gurumander to Water pump Roads. Those are pretty busy roads. But they will give them the last priority as its middle class areas and most of the VVIPs and busnissmen don’t phatking ever to these areas. Only when the MQM’s goon was in the city, when VVIPs ever entered into those parts of the areas.
I say 15% must have been sent to Ramjee London Wale from the proceedings of this project.

Great idea. We should have elevated expressways there as well.
May be we should have all these expressways as toll roads. That will help the roads be free from political plunder, and raam ji London waalay won't get too much of its money.

The Stadium area is quite a high profile area. Only last week our President was there for the inauguration of the Expo 2006 at the Karachi Expo centre which is only quarter of a mile off the Stadium. The stadium itself hosts a number of major high profile events apart from cricket matches like an international mushaira 2 weeks ago which attracted desi poets from all over the world. Javed Akhtar was there too. The stadium is less than half a mile away from the Agha Khan Hospital which is the country's top hospital and medical college. few months ago the PM and the Agha Khan were there for a convocation. Facing the expo center is the Civic Centre which houses the city govt offices as well as that of the city nazim who sits there every day. Less than a mile away from the Stadium in one direction lies the HQ Southern Air Command of the PAF, in another the Navy Engineering College and Museum and according to city plans the entire area lies under the jurisdiction of Faisal Cantonement.
So i guess the area has quite some importance which i hope the authorities will realize and make sure the works in this area are completed asap. it will change the entire look of the area, i hope for the better!

They are making some underpass on the stadium road to nazimabad, but I don't know how much that will help. I don't know hwo usefull the underpass at shon circle has been. Doesn't seem like a big difference to me.

All the the area along stadium road all the way upto Dalmia/Gulistan-e-Jauhar is and will be transformed. There is so much money being ploughed in from so many sources - federal government, city, provincial and quite crucially overseas Pakistani's.
Work on Hassan Square flyover to start next week
KARACHI: City Nazim Mustafa Kamal said that work on the Hassan Square flyover would start from next week. He was speaking at a meeting held on Saturday with contractors and consultants, and the officers of the Works and Services Department (WSD).
The city government (CDGK) would try to complete this road leading to the airport in the shortest possible time, Kamal said. It is for the first time that people were asked for suggestions for a project.
The city nazim also reviewed the work on the Gharibabad, Liaquatabad and Nazimabad underpasses. The three projects would be completed in four months. ppi
