They didn't have modern day technology bhai sahab. The hubble telescope, the orbiting satellites and 24 hour facilities with constant up to date knowledge on any given moon cycle at any given place on earth...among a million other capablities. I'm just saying, nasa is the BEST tool we have here in the states. Its capabalities are far superior then some guy with a beard standing above on a chabootra on his local masjid, trying to look to the sky with pollution and clouds in teh middle.
