Karachi Awakens

Re: Karachi Awakens

I am saying that people who want to go beat their chests when they hear any positive news about their city/country as well as those who have to take these chest beaters down at all costs are acting in an immature manner.

everythign does not have to become a pissing contest. I would have liked to see a better discussion on the strengths and deficiencies in karachi, but at times I guess its expecting too much.

Re: Karachi Awakens

btw; it does not mean karachiites can not be immature, lahoris dont have a monopoly on it you know :P

Re: Karachi Awakens

Farudiya, bombast like this needs a swift reality kick in the ass.

Re: Karachi Awakens

Do that Mats, Kick Karachi in it’s Assachi.

Re: Karachi Awakens

nahin yaar..karachi is like bombay. Where parties never end..and all this alcohol free siht is cosmetic placating of religious sentiments. I have met plenty of karachiites..who will tell you alcohol is like sex in karachi. All too prevalent. THis is nothing new and nothing that is wrong. I can almost guarantee that most KGS grads love their Tharra.

Re: Karachi Awakens

Yaar, Kabhi Lahore ki Tareef bhi kar dia kar.

:jhanda:

Re: Karachi Awakens

Lahore is a village yaar..it is has it own charm..gaon ki goriyaan.. :nuch:

Re: Karachi Awakens

Tharra is more of an SM college thing, KG gads do not touch anything below black label.

Re: Karachi Awakens

Fraudz, From where Matsui and I stand, there’s nothing below Black Label.

Re: Karachi Awakens

there has been unrest in Karachi, but not relgious based. there is less poverty when compared to any indian city.

Re: Karachi Awakens

Karachi doesn't even compare to Lahore in anyway, shape or form. You can say what u want about your seaside bomb site. Karachiites seem not to have a culture of their own, its like Dubai where its imported from the West.....sad! Lahore is the centre of Punjabi culture, we have our food, our attire, our music, our famous hospitality.... and Karachi? doesn't know if its Indian or Pakistani...lol. We Lahories don't have this concept of muhajirism and segregation of people ie Bengalies in one area, south indians in another, hindus elsewhere etc. Karachi was a great city about 20 years ago, I was there, but not anymore, its now just a huge criminal paradise. At one time I used to love Karachi but I never felt at home, as if I was not in Pakistan, but landing Lahore u know you've come home!
