Kara Film Festival, Karachi

irem,
did u go wach anything yet? i was so ready to go for Dhoop today but got so caught up with things that missed it :smack2:
and the worst part is that they’ll be showing dhoop only once, and now i wont be able to meet Om Puri :smack2: :smack2:
i went to Aghas, theyre selling the passes there and at Parktower, and found out a bit about the procedures, the day pass is 200 at some days and 300 on some, the prime time 1 and 2 are 200 and for some 300. the indian movie Rog, after which Irfan Khan, mahesh and Pooja Bhatt will have a QA session is 300.

i’m totally confused which ones to go see…an reccomendations…?

Rog could be good, but i wonder what type of company i should have fpor that, as the movie has a Mahesh Bhatt involvement and we all know that could mean a lot of skin…but i wonder if it’s going to be censored for public viewing in pakistan…?

Haris nai
oii read my replies above Haris all ur questions have been addressed in my above posts :D
including recommendations :D lekin u mite find em girly :D coz all the guys in my dept did :D
censored? hmmmmmmmm
good point
well..i HOPE it will be :D

btw tumhein om puri se milnay ka itna shoQ kyun hae? :D mujhay toh zara sa bhee nai psand :D

:hehe: Haan yaar, but i still cant make up my mind abt which ones to go for…:o

Om Puri; i think the guy is an awsome actor, he brings such reality to the character he plays and no matter what he plays, comedy, drama anyhting, he does it wonderfully natural. he’s not exactly very nice to look at, but thats a diff thing

so have you been to any show yet?
another thing ive been wondering is if they have enough room at the venue, i hope there are no capacity issues…

Haris nai i havent been to any shows

Hey! Lucky you Irem! :)
how did you like the whole arrangement? i still havnt found time or ppl willing to go wiht me...everyones so darned caught up with things...2 days left so lets see...
what was the movie about? the PIIA is near the arts council right? how did they set all the screens and how much capacity do they have? was it well managed?

Haris the arrangement was very good.

Where is it:

OK, you know lets say you are coming from Clifton to Zainab market. There's a road there that goes to Zainab, the one on the right goes some other place and the one on the left goes into the road where the PIA office is. Go there. Its like on your left when you go into that road, (opp from the PIA office wali side).

You should go if you get time, the tickets are really cheap.

The arrangement as in the seating arrangement, capacity etc was great and so were the screens and everything. They had security there as well. And the crowd was mostly the burger and artsy media people :D Yup it was well managed I thought.
