Kamran Akmal puts family over country

Re: Kamran Akmal puts family over country

We all have seen Kamran and Umar Akmal stay with the team while their mother suffered a heart problem, so what came first family or country? Junkies can scratch the trash to find whatever they want. Let performance decide whether someone stays in the team or not, keep 'oh he was found grocery shopping for family right after practice' away.

Re: Kamran Akmal puts family over country

Some of the family first comments here are really silly and make no sense. If I can't keep my eyes open in the morning at job because I have an infant to take care at night so my wife can have some sleep. Its freaking my business. I should take leave and stay home, or get some help in whatever means. Total nonsense responses, can't believe people are saying that.

Kamran if you did as this article suggest that you're one selfish man. You should volunteerly stay out of cricket until you have given enough time to your family and let the other young players play and earn some bread for their family you A$$...e!!!!! You are already mediocre to begin with and just in team because of that lazy A$$ boss of yours, Inzi. Pathetic!

Re: Kamran Akmal puts family over country

I knew this stuff for a long time, but then I did not bring it up cause I knew it can heat up the discussion. I am all against having family on 'Business Trip', after all this is business trip right. If you cant manage the situation you dont have the right to have family with you in the same room. You are being paid to be a cricketer and a professional cricketer, which has some hard coded rules as well.

Bhai, no one is saying what Akmal did on the field is justifiable. He should have done better on the field. But what Akmal did for his family/baby is totally justifiable. But he needs to learn to balance these two things.

I'm pissed that he was so lousy on the field. But if he had to stay up all night to take care of his family then he did the right thing to stay up.

a1kashur, this is where you're wrong. The company pays you a handsome compensation so you can devote your 100% effort to the job on hand. If Kamran has to take care of crying babies late at night, then that's his business, and he should be sent back to Pakistan where he can devote as much time as he wants to his family. If his mental and physical faculties were not at a 100% when playing, then he's cheating his employer, i.e., PCB (and by extension the millions of fans). If keeping his family with him is important to him, then he should've made adequate arrangements for it, i.e., babysitter, etc. so he could focus on his job in the morning which is the primary purpose of this trip.

To look at it another way, he plays cricket so that he can take care of and provide for his family. Without, cricket, I doubt he'd have a reasonable way of making a living. So while papa Akmal is making a living, the family should stay at home and enjoy the fruits of his labor.

There's no way you can justify this on the basis of "family comes first". He should've made himself unavailable for selection for this trip since he knew he has small children, and everything else is of secondary importance. It seems to me that for Kamran, cricket came first, since he chose to be on this team rather than taking care of his family, and then he cheated us by not focusing on the job he's being paid for.

Re: Kamran Akmal puts family over country

a1k....the right thing to do is to keep her wife home with a maid to take care of the little one late at night. After all he is earning six figures and can afford such luxury. But if having family (with little one) is important for him and staying up late night to put him to sleep is priority then he should stay in Lahore and should not play International Cricket. Don't waste millions of rupees of a nation that is looking for little glimpse of happiness that is ruined by his stupid decisions. On this alone, if I were the manager, I would send him back on first flight.

How short memories we have. If they can stay there when their mother had a heart attack than this news is trash and I don't believe it. Amazing how such stories start coming out once we lose a match. Never heard such trash when we win.
