I think he must stay. How many wicket keepers were introduced since 2000? Moreover, Pakistanis and guppies on this board need to get over their mentality that PCB is Australia where during an off season players go through rigorous training in improving their game. Our board is busy banning players and making their life miserable.

Looking at the batting, bowling, fielding and overall standard we should be lucky to have a batsman wicket keeper.

i had no idea about his fielding..i just see his score and he is always getting out making a few runs...if his fielding is as bad as his batting then what the hell is he still doing here

mohummad hafeez and salman butt can't play either

we have to wait for PCB's verdict on akhtar.

One thing for sure, Australia would not prepare for a test series like Pakistan did. Last test we played was in Jan against SA.

Moving back to subject under discussion - you want this over-rated Akmal to stay? That would be a good news for the opposition batsmen as they may have several chances to csrry on batting. You must ve one of the very few people who wants this joker to stay ................

I think in this case MWAP, the man really needs to go. Akmal has been horrible for more than a year now; that's way too much for anyone to handle.

It doesn't matter really. He dropped Kallis on 26 in the last match (and he managed to score 155 later on). And that was not a one-off incident! He has been horrible behind the stumps consistently for the past year. Time to move on and try other keepers.

Game, how is rest of the team performing? Are they not horrible for X amount of time? Should we not just move on from this team? If yes, than I am on board because you can not expect something when the system is crap.

So Kamroo has made a few runs; okay, we'll take it. but by no means does it make up for his performance over the last year.
I think he's gotten too comfortable knowing he's the first choice keeper. We need to bring in a fresh face to put pressure on him.
The friendly competition that existed between Rashid Latif and Moin Khan is whats needed here.

He is better than his stats show. Don't forget he often opens for Pakistan in both ODIs and Test matches which is not easy. After keeping for 2 days it not easy to open the batting.

Maybe we can keep him in the playing eleven but not as a keeper; just as opener. I think its brilliant!!

Our new opening batsmen: Salman Butt and Kamran Akmal in both forms; given that Kamroo doesn't keep.

Moin scored just 1 century and 5 fifities in 69 matches !!
In my personal opinion, he was a much better batsman than what these figures suggest.

What about other drop catches by Butt and Hafeez?

I am not making excuses, but let's be fair Pakistan has been very poor when it comes to fielding.
