te kalash are a real minority in pakistan and are suffering a real threat to theirculture and way of life. other groups in pakistan just moan forthe sake of it.
there are no forced conversions of kalash in pakistan - if the kalash disappear chitral will lose a significant chunk of its tourist revenue. chitralis need the kalash - they are a source of income forthe district. foreign tourists love visiting the kalash valleys but the last 3 years have een very bad for the region.
the kalash are more protected than most but they will lose their culture eventually either to slam, bollywood or western culture. changes do take place - not alays forthe worse.
