well, abhi last yr mein hoon theoretical part ka (total 4 yrs), is ke baad 2 yrs house-job, then I'm an MD. us ka baad jo kismat mein likha hai :D
u can go immediately into clinical work and try to show how good u are, and if ur lucky u'll get ur residency (in two or) three yrs, or u can do research and get a PhD (3 yrs) and afer that go into clinical work, and get a residencey.
so whatever way i choose i still have 2 + 3 yrs left before i can even dream of a residency.........

mere cousin hian Agha khan medical main shayed doctor hia.. he is 27 i gues.. aap believe karo gay ke os Allah ke banday ko ham saal main 1 ya 2 baar on ki schal nazar aaty thi.. cuz he is the person who is always stick to books never made anyfriends out side of hospital during his student life.... parahi parahi parahi..
laikin aaj kal doctors like u and i have seen many others... they always get alot of time extra after studies... i mean time for hang out games friends parties aur yeah internet..

hmmmm that’s interestnig now u mention it about ppl coming from paki and already doing their residency…because this way it would easier for someone to do med in paki and then come abroad and get a residency. but that’s kinda odd, because (I have compared the curriculum in paki with ours), and there are a lot of things which they don’t get in paki, like epidemiology, biostatistics etc. furthermore house-job is in paki only one yr, whereas here and US it’s 2.
well i don’t know what’s real, but just struck me, because if u come to holland as a doctor from paki u have to spend 2 yrs to get ur knowledge at the same level as ours…wonder why it shouldn’t be the same in US.
but khair: from next yr when doing house-job it will get though for me with night-shifts and things like that. i remember my bro once had a duty of a total of 36 hrs consecutively!

may be paki standard itna acha na ho. liakin still doctors to achay ban jatay hian.. did u hear this news about the doctor jis ne operation khatam hone ke baad patient ke pait main hi towel rakh kar see dia.. jis ki wajah say sudden dead hogaye.. shayed case wagaira chal raha hia maloom nahi.. laikin yeh to haal hia..
waisay aisi hi harkat 10 11 saal pehlay aik paki doctor ne ki jis main os ne koi ya kisi aur ne koi chota sa operation main use karne wali koi cheez andar rakh kar band kardia tha… laikin on khatoon ki death nahi huay thi cuz they figure it out quick..
