I've had it for a few months ... After 8 years of iphones ! Love it. Its so functional and hasn't felt large or clumsy ... even in my small hands.
i thought iphone's came out in 2007 and this is 2012 so 5 years maybe?

Sorry for the delay in reporting back...I picked up the phone on the way out of town and am just now getting it organized. No pics yet, sorry, but I have to wait till fiance gets back with his iPhone so I can show you the size comparison.
It IS amazing for reading on. The screen is vibrant and more like reading a newspaper than peering at a business card. That's the difference -- the screen is just shy of a 3x5 card, as opposed to the screens on most smartphones which are exactly the size of a business card. (Really, they are -- put a business card up to your phone screen.) It's about the size of a passport -- and passports fit in your pockets, don't they? I have large hands, so the size is fine with me, but I don't know about you tiny-pawed people. I do miss my slide-out keyboard on the Captivate Glide, but the buttons on the screen keyboard of the Note are actually bigger than the Glide's slide-put keyboard, so I'll probably get used to it.
Videos are very clear and much easier to watch on that nice big screen. That is what sold me on it the first time I saw one -- the clarity of the display.
You can fit 5 app icons across the screen and five up, not counting the four permanent icons at the bottom of the screen. It does come with a bunch of apps I don't want or don't know what they are for, but all phones are like that. I just stash them in a folder and don't pay them no nevermind (isn't that a great expression?)
I've also discovered Dolphin Browser, which is noticeably faster-loading than either Firefox or whatever the usual browser thing is.
I have only tried messing with the stylus and S-notepad a little bit. I'm not exactly an artist anyway.
Excellent quality photographs from the camera, but all phones (even iPhone) are making way better cameras than in the olden days.
The battery lasts longer than the battery in my Samsung Captivate Glide, and I have a couple of extra coming along with a charger for when I go traveling.
One more quick observation: I get an extra bar of reception on this phone, as compared with the other one. I don't have great reception in the house here -- usually only 1-2 bars, so the 3 I'm getting on the Note is very welcome (instead of having to move to the front window or go outside.)

I don’t have an OLD phone. I have a brand new S3 that I love. I ain’t selling it until the S4 comes out. I rather get a Note2. But life isn’t a walk in the park or a bed or roses now is it?

Old as in previous. My Captivate Glide is the first smartphone I've ever had and I only got it in Feb. So it is not old either. I'm not exactly a technojunkie, but I have to say that this Note is something new, mo, bettah!
It is a glorious not so little thing!! Sure its a tiny but bigger than a phone but oh gosh the colors, the features.. Faints!!!!

Hmmm, happy to hear that but I guess I'll stay away from this thread for now and focus on the upcoming Surface :D!

OK, here is a pic of the Note compared with an iPhone and a US passport, and another pic of the Note compared to my old (previous!) Samsung Captivate Glide with case, which is what I have been used to carrying around. (I’venever posted pics on GS, so bear with me if I screw up…)
