Is there any "authentic" hadith or Quranic ayat to prove it?

Do you think the devil is made to appear as a black dog or the black dog inside the devil? Does this mean all black dogs in the world are devil or just some of them?

Is this hadith anyway related to what we call “Superstition and black cats” but in this case black dog?

Disclaimer: This is a serious query and should be treated as such. Thank you

as far as i see it, as far as i understand, as far as i find it logical, anything or anyone that passes between a person and the sutra while praying, nullifies the prayer....

"Our Lord! forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty; establish our feet firmly and help us against those that resist faith." **Quran(3:147)

you find that logical??? why?? someone interfering with your “line of sight” with the Lord???

Sahih Muslim Hadith Hadith 1032 Narrated byAbuDharr

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: When any one of you stands for prayer and there is a thing before him
equal to the back of the saddle that covers him and in case there is not before him (a thing) equal to the back of the
saddle, his prayer would be cut off by (passing of an) ass, woman, and black dog. I said: O AbuDharr, what feature is there
in a black dog which distinguishes it from the red dog and the yellow dog? He said: O son of my brother, I asked the
Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) as you are asking me, and he said:** The black dog is a devil. **

filhaal:
black dog a devil?!
what about donkeys and women (especially menstruating ones), are they also devils???

Filhaal and PakistaniAbroad- "First of all, if you don't want to participate or don't agree with something, STAY OUT OF THE THREAD!" <- Are these words too unclear for you guys?

Filhal,

There is error/TYPO in the hadith you quoted:

Sahih Muslim Hadith Hadith 1032 Narrated byAbuDharr

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: When any one of you stands for prayer and there is a thing before him
equal to the back of the saddle that covers him and in case there is not before him (a thing) equal to the back of the
saddle, his prayer would be cut off by (passing of an) ass, woman, and black dog.

It should be GAS/FART!

The person would have to do wadhu and cite prayers again!

If namaz is annuled by farting, passing in front by black dog and woman

and,

If black dog is devil
as per the hadith:
"and he said: The black dog is a devil".

that makes woman = devil as well!

I don’t know if this ruling is in effect.

The person who intentionally walks in front of praying person has sinned but never heard of the person being punish for something that is not his fault to begin with (nullifying his prayers).

There are no stupid questions.....but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots.
