Karachi has no roads to run metro bus projects. Karachi needs underground metro-rail like Delhi, Bombay, NY, Paris, London or Montreal.
what about the existing circular tracks on which circular trains were running in the past? why can't they revitalize that which is already there?

Old habits of maligning opponents die hard eh!. But I don’t blame you, nirale has done worst in their dharna and Go Nawaz Go threads. There should be some code of ethics in this forum while abusing opponents.

In addition to this project, Karachi is in dire need of metro-rail. Sindh Government should work vigorously on that and pursue federal government to provide funds for initial surveys and justification for the project. MQM instead of following shadows or making its public fool by playing ethnic card should work on this project if they really love and own Karachi. Karachi does not need more buses or heavy traffic on its roads already congested and polluted particularly towards center and coastal areas of the city.

fair enuf. everyone will benefit from the project so i don't get why there is opposition to metro/revitalization of circular railway?

It would be stupidity.
They should really work on railways. Expensive to set up but much better in the long run.
They should implement strict city infrastructure code to accomodate double-decked buses, if they have to go that way.
