Junaid Jamshaid open in Birmingham

Re: Junaid Jamshaid open in Birmingham

naaaaaaa sum of the suits me stuff is good!! i agree sum r crap....but chapals n jewellery is good!!

Re: Junaid Jamshaid open in Birmingham

Admittedly I cannot vouch for the quality of their footwear and jewellery as I have never purchased any, but clothes certainly do not get any recommendations from me.

Re: Junaid Jamshaid open in Birmingham

JJ does some really nice stuff. Compared to alot of crap that u get on the stratford rd (ie looks OK in the shop, wash it once and its ruined), JJ's stuff is in a league of its own. its a bit more pricey but i just love their kurta tops and the quality of the kaam and kapra is lovely. I'm really plz'd with my tops and they are supposed to be getting some new stuff in next week. Once Pay day arrives, I'll try and pop in and let u girls know.

ps. i dont like the suitme stuff either.

Re: Junaid Jamshaid open in Birmingham

hey brummie..i normally get my eyebrows done there, at the salon behind the shop...anyway, the shop is hideously overpriced, like 150 quid for a normal cotton suit with a bit of embroidery, 245 quid for a chiffon kameez capri's...it seems nice if you compare it to shops on stratford road etc, but all in all if you can do your own shopping from Pak you can do better..how much did u buy your kurta's for? i didnt see any ones for 25 quid there....

Re: Junaid Jamshaid open in Birmingham

p.s, their bridal range is way above any shop on stratford road, they do classy pakistani wear bridals and you can have anything custom made....they use good quality embroidery and jamawar on their bridals....i have not seen any other shop with such lovely and classy bridal wear. Their men's range is out of this world and can compete so easily with many shops in london like damini's and chiffons....all in all very good quality and classy bridal wear...and no other shop apart from zaib's and now JJ's do gharara's in brum...not that I have seen anyway.

i went in there today out of curiousity they have some nice stuff i agree but they dont really display it that well, like u know in their shop window cos some of their bride stuff was so pretty but wasnt displayed on in the window the one they did have dispayed is so average...

Re: Junaid Jamshaid open in Birmingham

Can someone tell me the price range of a men's shalwar kameez? or if someone pops in soon to see what the range and the price is like?

I want to get some for my dad. My uncles always send the JJ shalwar kameez from Pakistan, would be easier to get it from here.

Thanks :)

HI bab, there was a sale on last week when i went in, got a feeling they were probably shifting stuff to make room for new stuff. I got the 2 kurta tops i posted at the start of the thread. Think they are getting some new stuff next week.they are definitely pricey and i prob woulnt buy shalwaar kamiz off them but i love the stuff to wear with jeans and will buy that again.

Re: Junaid Jamshaid open in Birmingham

Hey Rabbia,

I don't have JJ's number but I have Zaib's number which is a few doors down. Just give them a call and ask them if they can give you the number for JJ.

The mens clothes at JJ are reasonably priced. We purchased outfits from there for a family nikah for my dad and brothers and everyone complimented us on their outfits. It cost around £40 for each of them if I remember correctly.

Suitsme is a company that has great potential but sadly doesn't live up to much. Their quality is very hit and miss and their kameez length is too short - I think they assume that we're all only 5 ft tall!! Their customer service isn't that great either!

Re: Junaid Jamshaid open in Birmingham

JJ doesn't have much design variety i see, it's the same sort of fabric and lines.. last yr in lahore i bought sum clothes for my hubby it was brown with maroon stripes.

Probably need to pop in one of these days to find something different.
