Lol, I've been to Jugnu's, Depilex Pindi, and also to Soobia's.
Unimpressed with all three. Granted, I did only do party makeup there...but their brides were terrible as well. The best of the three, if you have no choice, is Jugnu's.
I've been saying this a lot on this website but Maryam Khawaja's makeup... AMAZING. She's in Lahore which sucks for all the Islamabadians/Pindians. Thats a huge drawback for brides in Pindi/Isb... MUAs are hard to find, i think. Not as much variety and big names as Lahore.

I remember visiting duplix few years ago on my visit to pak and i got a hair cut from this guy jugnu. It was just a normal hair cut nothing special and i was not even satisfied with the hair cut. The shock came in when i saw the bill i asked how could you charge so much for a simple crap hair cut and i was told ive been given a hair style, my foot hair style. If i had gone to a normal barber he would have given me Grade A service for just Rs 200. Ill never ever again go back to that day time robber jugnoo

A recent bride was saying if any1 opts for daniella they should get emaan the daughter in law in think to do the makeup, as she's really gud n listens to the client n doesn't make u look lyk cake n pastry as they usually do.Bride asked her to do a skin tone base slightly more tan then her complexion cuz she didn't want to look chitti specially with the venue lighting etc n when she was wearing a dep redish maroon karma desgin..on her valima though she let emaan do the usual she brighter n every1 told her she was glowing.she's like yeah cuz I'm looking fair today.heheheh.beloved aunties for u.
I got married in Jan 2011 alhamdulilah and being from isl also had the hard decision of choosing between Jugnu, sobia and Allenora...
I eventually went with allenora and got my make up done by the head of the isl salon Lehmia Jafri !!! My friend who was a jugnu bride herself but when her sister got married 2 yrs later she went for Lehmia and she looked stunning !!!!!!! and I am proud to say I was also a allenora bride on both days !! lehmia is the perfect artist even when she has 10 bookings in one day she ll give u individual attention and u dont feel like ur sitting in a bridal factory like with other parlours ! she does everything herself if u go for her signature package like I did, it costs 25 , 000 each for both days or 30,000 for one !
she ll handle every last detail including over seeing ur eyebrow threading and ur clothes and dupatta arrangement !! she even gave me the lipstick and lipgloss to take with me to touch up and then return even on the valima !! i dont know how many parlours do tht, she ll also re touch u up even when ur headed to sit in the car to make sure u look perfect !!!
i did alot of research and went to all the parlours... sobia wont even meet the brides for bookings , u just book at the counter and she sometimes has 20 brides during the busy season and ur all huddled into one room where shes going from one bride to the other, doing ones eyes then the nexts, not even stopping to see wht color ur dress is or anything and ur done in like 1.5 hours no joke !!!! lehmia called me in at 2 started at 2.30 and i was done exactly ontime for my 7 -7 30 pm departure... and no im not a relative LOL Im just an extremely happy client and so was my hubby mashaAllah!!!

but i i have heard very bad thngs about lehmia makeup..i have heard that shez poor in applying base and she makes bride look like pastry.......my frnds told me that her base started melting after half an hour in june...
can u tellme which brnd she applies on face for base thing????????
Well I have a majorly oily T zone and I didnt have one bit of shine, Ill post pics of myself and the other lehmia bride, she used MAC on me and a mixture of loreal with the TV paint stick by krayolin to cover some uneven areas on my skin !! I also bought these shiseido blotting papers from London to keep with me cause I thought Id get oily t zone for sure but I didnt need to use them except on my nose as a extra precaution before making my enterance !!! and JUNE is the peak of summer anyones make up would melt in that heat babe under heavy bridal make up, it depends on the venue and a quick transfer from one airconditioned place to another, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO POST PICS !!!

sweety i got engaged in july and my makeup was done be jugnu..and my base didnt melted ,,my makeup was so fresh from 3 pm to 12 am.....

Anyways I dont want to make this into some sort of competition, all my opinions are my own and based upon my own experience as an Allenora bride... !! I was swayed away from Jugnu by the fact I didnt want a man applying make up to me and my decolletage and tht he made a few of my friends eerily white !!!! So All the best to everyone looking for "the perfect make up artist" inshaAllah :)

I had a party makeup done by jugnu in march for my cousins wedding. I loved the smokey eyes, they were exactly what i asked for. But rest of it, i dont knw..i dont think the woman working there knew how to play up my features. I would probably do a better job myself. I didnt look like ME.
Im not even dark but still my base colour was too light for me. This, even after i told the girl ten times that i like brownish makeup.
She was putting a pink lipstick on me, which was truly ugly. So i told her to just put foundation on my lips as it gave a nice nude look.
I would say she used too much makeup on me, im talking about the base. It was too much foundation, just like paint. i wouldnt even like that much makeup on my wedding. I kept telling her i want it lighter, but she said this was the lightest she could make.
The overall look was pretty nice, but still definiately not what I asked for (except the eyes). But then on the other hand i do believe its my own fault as Im a person who doesnt suit in makeup, specially base. So maybe I shouldnt have gone to a parlour then. But in real i just wanted to have the eyes done, but she said that wasnt possible as it would look weird.
