Re: EX-CJ Iftikhar Chaudhary is out of Home Arrest
Saad bhaijan. The vast majority of these one hundred or so judges were appointed after November 3rd under the PCO and Emergency. So going back to pre November 3rd would sacking these judges, that were appointed after November 3rd. As Zardari has said these judges will not be disturbed. Which does mean in effect all the appointments made after November 3rd are valid. Just keep watching the drama unfold. Pakistan is just about to become more interesting. :)
I am not talking about the re-appointment of these new judges but restoring back the old(pre-november)ones to their old roles...Hence Iftikhar back to being a CJ...And sacking these news ones is not that difficult either...& That has happened before.
More interesting..As if it wasn't before???.. Onething is clear,we all must make it clear and prevent this "tola" from "hurting" Musharraf.

Saad bhaijan. When has it happened before?
Remember, the post November 3rd judges have validated the NRO, which led to all the cases against Zardari being dropped. Also, it is very important to remember that the NRO has allowed Gilani to become the PM aswell. Does this mean that pre November 3rd situation will be restored and all judicial rulings after 3rd November will not be allowed. Don't forget post November 3rd rulings not only clears Zardari and Gilani, it also validated great President Musharaf's rule. :)
Like I said, just keep watching. It is going to be fun in the coming weeks and months. :)
BSA (Bull$hit Announcement) radio whose host is Aalsi continues People like him continue to shout the slogan of democracy under Musharraf whether they were arrested by him or released by opposing powers
I find it ironic that the Prime Minister is asking for a UN probe into a domestic act of violence. What message does it give - That the prime minister doesn’t trust its own investigating agencies to do a a fair job !! How will such a prime minister provide law and order to the country?
God Bless you Ehtasab bhaijan. Under the great democracy bestowed upon Pakistan by great President Musharaf, the new PM Gilani and then the new cabinet will be taking oath from him. The new PM and the cabinet are indeed grateful for the democracy and the Freeest and Fariest elections held in Pakistan on 18th February.
Before he took oath under Mush, how he had issued orders for release of judges, arrested by Mush? These orders have already been accepted by bureaucrats and judges released. Now tell me does it matter if Gilani sworn in as PM under Mush? I don't understand that.
The irony of the whole ceremonial affair is that Gillani was imprisoned under Musharraf’s rule twice for charges headed by N.A.B. Now the same Gillani would be sworn in as the PM of the country by the same man under whom he was imprisoned.
Who need to watch dramas these days! Current Political Affairs are enough
Oh and PML (N) would seek to get minstership for Defense, just to spite Musharraf yet again, and force him to give oath to the very people he was spewing hate against.
Deja Vu eh!..
So, will Musharraf dissolve parliament if the judges are restored?
What is more interesting in this whole debate is the speed by which Gilani's words were implemented. This was noted by BBC in an article today (may be others too). The dude had just been voted in by the National Assembly. He had not even taken the oath of office - forget any kind of official mechanism to transmit his instructions. As soon as he made the announcement on the floor of the Assembly that as PM his first order will be to release the judges. Within an hour, police removed barricades from the houses of the judges. Wow! SpeedaaN!! Seems like the bureacracy in Isloo realized who is now calling the shots. They could have easily delayed this by waiting for the oath-taking and then the formal executive order to be passed down the chain of command. None of that. They heard an order on television, and right away "yes, sir!".
On a personal note, while sacking the judges is a political/constitutional discussion, but I was very disappointed by the decision of the government to put them under house arrest, including their families and kids. This is completely uncalled for. Like them or not, they are seasoned people who were doing their job in the senior judiciary of the country. To treat them like a criminal was very very sad. I don't like Ifti Chaudhry myself, but I felt really bad, not only for him, but for his entire family who were forced to go through with this unwanted house arrest. The whole *raison d'etre *for this was that if let free, Ifti will again mobilize the community against Mushy. But that is no excuse to keep a man in prison (house arrent) for no crime, whatsoever.

What are you going on about? Judges interpret laws, what do you mean by "validating"?
PPP offering to restore judges MINUS Ch. Iftikhar - Justice Tariq Mehmood
It is natural that some PPP leaders will publicly deny this sort of thing being offered. But why would Justice Tariq Mehmoond one of the leaders of judicial movement be claiming this, if not true?
Re: PPP offering to restore judges MINUS Ch. Iftikhar - Justice Tariq Mehmood
**According to Justice Tariq, a PPP leader tried to convince him that the new PPP government would feel more comfortable with the present Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar instead of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.**
This fact was very obvious today when PPP speaker Dr. Fahmida Mirza was sitting right next to CJ Abdul Hameed Dogar, and exchanging warm glances and engaged in happy conversation.

If looks were the scale to measure pleasure and displeasure, it would be extremely fair to say Pakistan is fed up with Musharraf because there is plenty of anger against him. Why doesn't he leave with dignity?
Quoting you 'There is more to it, than meets the eye' :)
Be consistent please...i know how hard it must on you to find less and less material for Musharraf, but don't lose your vision. I still have faith in your blind support for Musharraf.
